Sam Brunet, BSc

Sam is our intake specialist and the person you will most likely be completing your new client intake with. The intake process involves collecting some information about what you are looking for help with and other information that can help us match you with the right therapist at our clinic.

Sam completed an Undergraduate degree in Psychology at the University of Toronto, with a minor in Equity Studies.  As part of the Research Specialist program in Psychology, Sam conducted research, including a thesis that focused on perceptions of marginalized groups and the harmful effects of stigma and prejudice.

Sam plans to complete a Master of Social Work degree at the University of Toronto, with the goal of becoming a registered social worker and providing equitable and trauma-informed mental health care. Sam has also provided peer support to 2SLGBTQ+ youth, and is passionate about anti-oppressive approaches to queer and trans mental health. In addition to her current role as Intake Assistant for the Toronto Psychology Clinic, Sam works with various psychology clinics in the GTA to help build bridges between clients and therapists.
