Education & Training

Dr. Laurie Hollis-Walker holds a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from York University, complemented by an MA in Clinical Psychology and a B.A. (Hon.) in Psychology from Brock University. With a strong foundation in psychological theory and research, her academic journey has equipped her with the knowledge and skills necessary to provide comprehensive mental health care in various settings.

Additionally, Dr. Hollis-Walker has pursued specialized training, including certificates in San’yas Indigenous Cultural Safety, Mental Health Support for Gender-Diverse Youth, Mental Health Support for Trans- and Gender-Diverse Youth, and Facilitating Restorative Justice. These certifications demonstrate her commitment to cultural competence, inclusivity, and ongoing professional development. Her experience extends to providing services for couples navigating relational challenges. She focuses on helping couples cultivate healthier patterns of communication, foster emotional intimacy, and strengthen their bond. Dr. Hollis-Walker is dedicated to serving diverse populations, including LGBTQQ2-S individuals, male survivors of sexual abuse, and Aboriginal, Indigenous, and First Nations peoples.
